Arriving at Benenden

Benenden School is located in the village of Benenden, near Cranbrook in Kent. The map above shows our location.

By rail

The nearest rail station is Staplehurst, an hour from London on the line which serves Ashford, Canterbury and Ramsgate. The School will be pleased to organise a taxi to bring you to Benenden from the station, approximately a 20-minute journey.

By road

The School’s postcode is TN17 4AA. We advise using TN17 4AQ if using SatNav as some older devices might take you to the rear gate instead of the front entrance.

Benenden is easily accessible from the M25 (leave for the A21 at Junction 5, signposted Hastings) and the M20 (leave at Junction 6 for Maidstone)

Upon arrival

When arriving at Benenden, please pull up to the front barrier and press the intercom to inform School Office of your arrival. They will then open the barrier for you and invite you to travel up the drive – please note the speed restrictions on site – and to park on the gravel in front of the main building. Please approach the main entrance, up the front steps (a ramp is available for visitors with mobility issues) and ring the bell by the main door, where School Office will meet you and sign you in.

Benenden operates a one-way system on its site. If you accidentally find yourself at the rear gate, those barriers will not permit you to enter and you will need to turn right out of the rear entrance and follow the road, New Pond Road, to the crossroads where you should turn right again. In approximately 400 metres you will find the School entrance on your right.
