School fees for the current school year at Benenden are £9,350 per term. They are reviewed for each academic year and announcements are normally made early in June.
Paying School Fees in Advance
As an alternative method to the traditional payment of fees, Benenden School operates an Advance Payment of Fees Scheme, which offers a guaranteed, discounted credit against future years’ fees in return for a lump sum up front.
Payments may be paid by parents, grandparents, or any other person willing and able to help a girl’s education.
The advanced payment of a lump sum can be made at any time for any number of termly instalments. It is possible to make payments in respect of future fees for a student already in the School.
This method does not alter the School’s usual admissions procedure. It does not guarantee a place. Should the student fail to come to the School for any reason, the lump sum may be refunded to the person who paid it (plus simple interest at the rate notified when the context was signed, net of tax). Alternatively, the full value of the termly instalments paid into the scheme can be transferred to another school, provided it has charitable status, for the named girl or sibling.
Benenden School has signed a deed of waiver with its bankers, Coutts & Co. that, in the event that the school becomes insolvent, the bank will not call upon the assets held within the scheme to alleviate any debts.
Those interested are encouraged to obtain individual quotations tailored to their personal circumstances. If you are in any doubt about the taxation aspects of providing for future fees by advance payment, please consult your professional adviser. The school will normally suggest a measure of fee inflation, but no contract can be made to guarantee to cover all fees, and the school cannot be held responsible for fees which vary from the contracted amount.
