Chef De Partie

We are looking for a Chef de Partie to complement the existing team in all the areas of the kitchen. 

The post is responsible to the Head Chef. Significant experience in high volume and quality catering City and Guilds 706/1 & 2 or equivalent professional qualifications are essential, as the catering is diverse from lunch 550 students to a fully catered Black tie ball.

Applicants should have the ability to work well as part of a team and on their own initiative. This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious chef, who loves food and has a great sense of fun.

Benenden has been one of the leading boarding schools in Britain for more than 90 years. We were founded in 1923 and are situated in 240 acres of attractive parkland in Kent. There are 541 girls in the school, aged 11-18, with approximately 180 of those in the Sixth Form. Benenden is at the forefront of girls’ education in the UK, with recent innovations including the Benenden Diploma, a bespoke curriculum for our youngest two year groups, and the Professional Skills Programme, teaching the Sixth Form skills for the workplace. We are an ambitious school, with recent developments including a state-of-the-art Science Centre and All-Weather Sports Pitch, and we are currently working to establish a new School Hall and Music School.

Meals are provided to staff whilst on duty. The School’s leisure facilities, including a fitness gym and swimming pool are available for staff to use. 

Salary is dependant on experience circa £21,000 to £23,000 per annum.
