IT Support Technician

Benenden School are recruiting for two IT Support Technicians to work term-time plus 30 days as part of the IT Services Team.

This post involves supporting the School’s staff and students in the use of the IT equipment in all aspects of school life. Assisting with installing new and upgraded systems and ensuring the integrity of the School’s systems are maintained.

The successful candidate should have proven experience of delivering customer focused IT services. A practical outlook with a ‘can do’ attitude is essential. Experience with Windows operating system, Office365 and Microsoft Office products is an advantage, but knowledge and enthusiasm are essential.

Benenden is one of the leading boarding schools in Britain. We were founded in 1923 and are situated in 2500 acres of attractive parkland in Kent. There are 541 girls in the school, aged 11-18, with approximately 180 of those in the Sixth Form. Benenden is at the forefront of girls’ education in the UK, with recent innovations including the Benenden Diploma, a bespoke curriculum for our youngest two year groups, and the Professional Skills Programme, teaching the Sixth Form skills for the workplace. We are an ambitious school, with recent developments including a state-of-the-art Science Centre and All-Weather Sports Pitch, and we are currently working to establish a new School Hall and Music School.

Hours of work will be on a rotational basis covering the hours between 08:00 to 19:00 Monday to Friday and 08:30 to 17:00 Saturday and Sunday, during term-time, plus an additional 30 days between 09:00 to 17:00 normally Monday to Friday, to be worked during school holidays over the academic year.

Meals are provided to staff whilst on duty. The School’s leisure facilities, including a fitness gym and swimming pool are available for staff to use.
