Recent Speakers

Our recent speakers have included:

October 2016: Charles Hymas
In October we welcomed Charles Hymas, Managing Editor (News) at the Sunday Times, who spoke to the Sixth Form. He spoke about careers in journalism, the positive effect that journalism can have and about his ongoing campaign to improve mental health in schools. He then rounded off the event by answering questions from the girls.

September 2016: Santa Montefiore
Esteemed author Santa Montefiore ran a workshop with Lower Fifths before talking to the Fifths about writing essays, how to improve their writing and what it takes to be an author. Mrs Montefiore, who has published a novel a year since 2002 and sold over four millions novels in the process, also signed copies of her books for the girls.

September 2016: Alice Tyler
Alice Tyler, ex-producer of Made in Chelsea, visited to give a lecture. She talked about the role of a producer and a real insight into working in television.

September 2016: Dr Margaret Mountford
Dr Mountford, well known as being one of Lord Sugar's original advisers on The Apprentice, visited the School to advise students on the Professional Skills Programme during the day before speaking to the entire School in the evening about her career as well as offering advice and answering student's questions.
